A longstanding diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Rauf Yousaf has practiced in New Zealand, Australia and UK for over two decades. Rauf has a wide range of clinical interests that include the latest advances in MRI, dual energy CT, and musculoskeletal imaging. He undertakes pain management consulting and is experienced in percutaneous interventions for spinal and sports injury pain management. He is also heavily involved in radiology quality assurance and clinical governance. Rauf travels frequently in order to best service patient needs irrespective of geography.
Dr. Yousaf maintains an active presence in his professional community. He was a guest speaker at the Arab Health Conference in 2017, participated in the European Congress of Radiology in Vienna in 2017 and 2015, and in the previous year he addressed the GE CT User Group in Cairns. He was also an invited speaker at the 2012 Sydney launch of the GE Dual Energy CT. In 2009, he presented at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Conference held in Canberra.
Originally from the UK, Dr. Yousaf holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Dundee in Scotland. He also completed medical studies at the same institution and gained qualifications through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before concentrating on developing his radiological expertise over the next two decades. Rauf enjoys collecting antiques, curios, and vinyl records in his free time.
